Once Charles Manson and "The Family" had taken off, and killed people, etc, how did that affect the Beatles popularity? Were some fans scared out of listening to their music, or did they just ignore Manson?

Because I can't imagine anyone just being indifferent to it.

I'm just wondering... And I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Ta,
Lisa.

Charles Manson claimed the song
Helter Skelter inspired him to cause a race war, thus the reason for the murders.

However,Charles Manson is a sociopath,so there is no logic behind anything he says.

To answer your question,The Beatles music is bigger than ever.I don't think fans linked Charles Manson to The Beatles.

If anything, people were curious to hear the song Helter Skelter.

Let me get this straihght, you're saying it was the Beatles fault that manson killed those people?

manson is a psychopath, he could have used the song "mary had a little lamb" as justification, anyone with a brain realized this.
Of course after all this came out, most people listened to "Helter Skelter" a little differently, at least for the first time or two after, but who would be scared off the music?
