I live in Florida, so I think the hurricane season is officially over for the year but that doesn't mean squat.

You should be worried if a hurricane is coming directly towards the city in which you reside - otherwise as long as your prepared and follow all safety guidelines you will be completely fine.

Prepared, yes, but maybe not too worried. It would not hurt to live in a concrete bunker with walls seven feet thick.
