My pain is the closest thing a man will ever get to giving birth but I'm doing it a few times a day. I looked it up online and evidently the lube produced by my anal sinus (behind my anal valves) is not functioning right. What do I do?

You need to see your doctor. In the meantime, drink more water that will will help soften your stool. You should also eat more fiber (grapes, fiber cereal, oranges, etc.) that will help as well.

You can buy stool softeners in liquid or tablet form at any pharmacy. It will make "going" a lot easier.

I would agree with the people who said to drink plenty of water. Maybe you don't drink enough water in a day. If I were you, I would start there.

But if you're taking a dump a few times a day, and it's painful each time, it could be a sign of a problem. Maybe you should see a doctor.

Short term relief -- get some Metamucil at your pharmacy. It works.

Long term relief -- drink lots of water. Use whole grains instead of white bread and white rice. Eat at least 8 servings of fruits and veggies every day, and some of them should be raw. "Fries with that" is not the best veggie to go for BTW -- you need to reduce the amount of meat and fried food you eat to make room for things like apples and carrots.

Fallback -- see your doctor if the problem continues.

Make sure you drink a lot of water. If you get dehydrated you will have to say ouch. Maybe eat more fruit. Get a tube of hemorrhoidal ointment and maybe that will help. They also sell a stool softener you can take. If you are finding blood you need to see a doctor.

Ask your doctor. You might need to take cod liver oil capsules to help things glide more smoothly.
