I was just eating cotton candy at a fair last night with my kids and I was wondering what would happen if you set it on fire. It is so thin and it basically melts almost instantly in the heat of your mouth. Anyone have an educated guess or knows what happens when you set cotton candy on fire?

Cotton candy is spun sugar with a little food coloring and a touch of flavorings. You could fit an entire wand of cotton candy into a tablespoon if you warmed it to melting point. If you put a match to it, it would simply melt a hole in the fluff.
