I've looked around on countless websites and plenty of people have asked the same questions. None of my anthro professors have heard of this program and the academic degree required for an ISLP advisor is a BA/BS (hardly prestigious). Has anyone been on this thing before?

I was also nominated for the Scholar Laureate Program for Diplomacy and International Relations. I researched what I could (very little info to go by), called the 1-800 number and grilled the women with questions, and talked to my professor who advised me to ask my university for sponsorship. The VP of my university essentially laughed in my face, told me I was a chump for thinking I was special - this program is a "dime a dozen," and sent me on my way.

But yes, I wonder the same thing as you and am now slightly convinced it is just a profit scheme.

I was also nominated to the International Scholar Laureate Program and I too am trying to find out if it is worth it. I do have high grades but am unsure at this point what to do. If you find anything out about the program please let me know. I will do the same.
Thank you,
John
