My mum calls me both my brothers names and then gets it correct.

She even once called my sister in law the dogs name haha.

Is it only mothers that have this problem!? I've never heard a father do it.

It's only mothers...and I thought it was just my mom.
Am I glad you asked this.
And just like yours, she throws in the pet names every so often.
I caught my oldest sister doing it the other day...must be a genetic thing for women.

Yes, fathers do it too. My dad called my sister's fiancee just about every name going before finally finding the right one. It happens. Someday we'll probably getting other people's names wrong too.

My mother? NEVER. And she is 75 and has six daughters. But I am that kind of mother who keeps calling my two sons by my sisters' names before hitting the bull's eye....

My mum does it constantly, but my dad seems to know mine and my siblings names. You would think after 23 years they both would. When my gran was very old and and a bit doddery, she used to get me and my boyfriends names mixed up and started calling me Alexis. (My name is Clare, he is Alex).

HAHAH how true is that my good Lord that is hallarious! So TRUE!

I finally say to her STEVE call me Steve cause you just can't remember who your talking to can you. LOL!

If they didn't forget as a natural order and process of how a women was made she would never have more than one child. That is blessing to them and a mercy that is granted by us to them. Its a mercy she forgets she only can love you that way no man can love you that way.

When my younger sister (11 years younger than me) and my daughter
(7years younger than my sis) get in the same room together, I start mixing up their names... only with them and only if they're together... and they don't look anything alike.

So, this is one father/brother who kind of has your moms problem.

Peace

My dad and grandad are the only ones who do it... unfortunately my grandad had a lot of children and grandchildren so it takes a while to go through them all!
