The tongue sends messages to the brain when we eat something sweet, sour, hot, spicy, etc.

Your brain tells what your tongue to do, like moving when talking or helping to chew food. The tongue sends "taste signals" back to the brain to be interpreted as sweet, salty, bitter, or sour

Your brain tells your tongue what to do. just like all your other body parts. your nerves play a big role in it too.
