The best is definantly Gran Turismo 4. The graphics are drop dead amazing, it seems almost REAL (intro movie). The gamplay graphics are very good as well, and it has many many cars to choose/buy. I'm pretty sure there are more than 600 cars to choose from. Cars are very detailed and go back to the 1930's. You can buy your favorite car and soup it up and make it unstoppable.
The racing is so realistic, and it is really fun to beat and collect all of the cars. Some achievements are quite dificult, so it takes some time and effort. No wonder it was named one of the PS2 best sellers!
