hi i need an answer for my questions my dad is going in for back surgery because he has damaged his forth and fifth nerve and his satatic nerve how long and bad will the healing process be for him also he has a form of diabetis will this affect him when recovering cause he can be really stubborn and not do what he is told especailly when his sugars are low.
also will this mean he will be in a brace?

the diabetes will effect him. it will make it a slower healing process. my mom has diabetes. just keep and eye on him and keep the site clean and if it turns green or black bring him to the doc, when he is stuck in bed, somhow you need ot get him to exersise his arms and legs and turn to different side reguarly so he dosen tdevelope any other sores. laying on one side more than 2 hours will create a sore over time. moving his arms and legs will keep the cirrculation flowing so sores cant form and he wont be as sore when he does start moving normally agian. my mom when through the same thig so if u need more ansewrs email me
