i can see belly rings and ear rings..but tongue rings, lip rings, eyebrow rings, nose rings, WOW why? in my opinion it makes the person look like hellraiser..

Why do people do anything?
It's the person's choice. I've had several piercings done. For some people it's the thrill of being different and standing out, to some people it's the rush of the needle. It's different for everyone.

I pierced my face because I consider it beautiful. It isn't for everyone, but I happen to love it. I have no interest in standing through my piercings. If I wanted attention that badly I could find other ways that required less aftercare.
Not every person who has a piercing is a hooligan. Many people with piercings are some of the most responsible, kindest, open minded, and happiest folks I know.

People pierce their faces b/c they feel like it makes them look good. it's the same reason why someone would pierce their belly button or ear. Face piercings are becoming more and more common and if you still think of it like a hellraiser thing, I got one thing to say "get used to it!"

I can say that I did it because I just wanted to. I have my tongue pierced and I have for about 10 years. I like the needles it is just a rush of adrenaline that you cant get from anywhere else but piercing or tattoos.

i practically fought a court case against my mum to get my nose peirced... but i dont know why, lol!!! luks gud man!! suits some people but not others.
although its a cultural thing for us, my mum was realli totally against it.
