Several years ago, my brother came from Calif.to Here,Ark. and he said he was attacked by a herd of ladybugs.We all laughed so much about that.

Ladybugs swarm when cold weather comes along. They are looking for a place to hibernate and are not dangerous to humans--however, the multicolored Asian ladybug, which is different from our regular ladybug can nip--they don't have venom or anything but can be annoying if you get into a cloud of them looking for a place to hibernate--but I agree, the thought of these tiny harmless beneficial creatures, in a "herd" attacking a hapless human is darned laughable.
