Anybody have any idea what's going on? I keep getting an error message that says: "The floppy disk controller reported an error that is not recognized by the floppy disk driver."
I also had problems loading a disc that had some jpeg files on it. If you can help let me know. Please try not to be too technical.

First, make sure it's plugged in correctly. Next, make sure the BIOS has the settings for 1.44 MB Floppy drive. Then, check the drivers themselves in windows, and reinstall if needed. Then if you still have problems, it could be the drive itself.

Sounds like the drive died. Have you tried other disks? You could also try the hardware wizard to reinstall the drivers for the floppy.

The drivers may be corrupted or the floppy drive may have gone bad. From http://fixit.in
