Puppet Boy - Yeh, I know what you mean. I would feel silly having a DAV license plate or a vet plate even though I'm entitled. Most all vets I know don't talk about it. It feels good to give a shout out to your Brothers once a year though.

As a Veteran I think it's creepy for strangers to pretend to be thankful that you ___________ (fib)
This never happened until Rush told his minions to do it. That adds to the insult when people stand up and thank you because Rush told them to do it.
Somehow it was simpler when people hated you and called you a baby killer. At least then you knew where they were coming from.

ZardoZ Is it just me? Don't you feel weird when people do the thank you thing.
I was in a business meeting and someone asked if there were any Vets. Next thing a dozen people were saying thank you to the 2 Vets in the room.

As a Marine we Simper Fi each other to the grave. Nov 10 is the Marine Corps birthday. So we are taught from Boot Camp that the rest of the armed forces have Vererans Day so they can party with us.
Yeah no Vet plate on my rides. I'm not ashamed of being a Vet But I was too young to to be made to do the things I did.

Oh, that kind of arrousing. Ya sure. Hip Hip Hooray! God bless every one of them, they surely deserve it and deserve to come home NOW! And, I love my country too. But it is a stretch to say I love my government and those who represent me and the people these days. Don't even go there in terms of asking for a Cheer for the politicians today, the way they are screwing over our soldiers. I'll give you more thumbs down than you could possibly count in a day. As a matter of fact, I'd probably have to flip you off if you tried to do that.
