a child's bottom for being so mean to other kids. but then you love him up and tell him why he got a switch on his bottom and make him promise he won't do it again. i live in the country way down in the south and using a switch pulled off of a bush on a child's bottom is still widely practiced here. but it's usually the women who use this method. the father usually uses his belt. i know some of you city people are appalled at this and are ready to call child protective services. a bit of a culture shock, perhaps?
