It was composed by Jeff Rona, who wrote the sountrack.

At http://www.sharkwater.com/ click on "sountrack" and I think it may be either track 5 or 6, or another mix very similar to those tracks.

There is also more information available at:http://www.jeffrona.com/2006_1991.php

If you don't believe it's one of the songs on the soundtrack compilation, perhaps you could contact him through his site.

Thanks for introducing me to this music, it's really great :-D

Yes, the original music is by Rona. The trailer sounds like Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance (so if you love the trailer you'll love their music!).. but I cannot find a credit for them. What I did find was this:
Quote from "Variety": Which is too bad because Stewart's footage (he shot the extensive underwater segs with David Hannan) is superb, its mesmerizing impact enhanced by a seductive music selection that includes Portishead, Nina Simone, Moby, Louise Fraser and Aphex Twin as well as Jeff Rona's original compositions. http://www.variety.com/review/VE1117931611.html?categoryId=31&cs=1

Also, according to Itunes, there are vocals also by Lisbeth Scott and Azam Ali. Perhaps the trailer music is reprised in the score. It credits the vocal to Lisbeth Scott on a movie music forum.... but I don't know how credible that is.
