I have applied for a blue badge and my GP has said he will back my application etc. How long should it take to hear back from them and how long till I receive it ? I applied online last week xx

Mine was through within 2 weeks.... Where I am its distributed by the local council and is dependant on how fast/slow their administration works.
If your application has been backed by your GP, it's unlikely you wont receive your blue badge.

Debbi's answer is not correct to get blue badge you have to have a condition which limits your mobility. You do not need to be registered or be on mobility allowance. I know I have one and I am neither of these.

should only take a few days, however if you want one guaranteed on the application form where it asks about mobility just state.... 100 feet WITH aids, like walking sticks, you will get one immediately.

to get a blue badge you have to be registered disabled, you need to be on the higher rate of mobility allowance.
