I am a staunch Conservative and have no intention of voting for Barak Obama, as I believe he is dead wrong on a lot of issues and lacks the necessary experience to take on the highest executive office in our nation.

HOWEVER, that being said, Obama has one thing that almost every other contender in this campaign lacks: he has full and complete honesty. He has credibility. He tells you what he means regardless of whether doing so will hinder him.

That's a lot more than you can say for his opponants, the ambulance-chasing John Edwards and the socialist flip-flopper Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Will that credibility help him overtake her? I doubt it. She has a name, she has the money, and she's a woman. Given the choice, I would rather see Mr. Obama as president than Mizz Clinton, but I just don't see that happening realistically.

He may have waited too long to start directly attacking her. After the last debate people were getting excited because she lost all of 6 points. Considering she was almost 30 points up on him, that's a pretty small gain for him. There's one thing he cannot change - the perception that he is too wet behind the ears to lead our country. The next debate this coming week on CNN will be crucial for both of them. Whatever the outcome, it will definitely not be boring.

EDIT:
GlSupreme:
The problem is with Obama that being a state legislator does not lend itself to having any experience with national issues on a national level. None, zip, zero. Sorry, but Sen. Clinton's into her 2nd term as a U.S. Senator and has been serving on the Armed Forces Committee for six years. Even without that Hillary Clinton was neck deep in politics when Obama was still in middle school. She wasn't a cookie cutter First Lady, as you well know, nor was she that as First Lady of Arkansas. She's been key in getting much legislation passed, especially for women and children, since long before she was a Senator. As far as experience goes, she has him all beat to hell.

Of course, Obama has credibility to overtake Hillary and could be elected president in '08. I think Obama has as much if not more credibility to be President than Hillary. In terms of political experience, Obama has slightly more experience. He has been a Illinois state legislator and US senator longer than Hillary has been a US senator. For those who say Hillary is more experienced, I continued to say in what fashion? Being the spouse of a US president is not what I consider experience. If Laura Bush decided to run for President would anyone question her experience? Of course they would! Following your husband around to international conferences and dinners for social interaction with other heads of state is not executive experience. Hillary was fully aware of this when she decided to run for the US Senate in 1999. She knew that never being elected to a public office and then deciding to run for President would never fly with American voter.

For Barack Obama to overtake Hillary Clinton is difficult not because of who Hillary is but because of Bill Clinton's continued popularity as the 42nd President.

Baracka Hussein Obama, Jr. is a fraud, inexperienced,a liar, and a disgrace for his rejection of the American flag. Hussein Obama is too naive or stupid to understand that any presidential candidate for the oval office, has a duty, a responsibility, to respect our flag, our veterans, and all the military personnel now fighting in the Mid-East. It is a matter of record and fact that Hussein Obama on two separate occasions, rejected and disgraced our American flag. Also, it is a matter of record that Husseins' Muslim parents registered him as a Muslim when he attended the Muslim schools in Indonesia. Now claiming to be a Christian, Hussein is an apostate in abandoning the Muslim faith, and the penalty is death under Sharia (Muslim religious law). Hussein Obama has lied again, failing to disclose the illegal real estate deal with Tony Rezko's wife, source Chicago Sun Times. Hussein Obama claims to be the Black candidate, when he is only 50% Black. The MSM never mentions that fact because of political correctness. Hussein Obama has no credibility and is unfit to serve in the Congress, much less the oval office. If one is observant, you will notice Hussein Obama never takes the lead, but always polly-parrots the brainwork of John Edwards or Hillary Rodham Clinton, further attesting to his lack of experience and knowledge in government affairs. The best bet for a winning candidate against the Republicans is John Edwards, experienced, very intelligent, and a proven, positive track record. I will be voting for Ron Paul. VIVA RON PAUL, el PRESIDENTE de los ESTADOS UNIDOS!!!!!

i might desire to end from what you have offered here, Barack Obama has a various style of philosophy while it consists of how he sees u . s . a .. He does not have self assurance in traditionalism. He merely believes in seeing his desirable of u . s . a .. the place each and all the all and sundry is on a equivalent undeniable. for this reason helping his wealth distribution theory, Barack needs each and all the' international to be on an analogous enjoying field. He needs all international places to be an analogous while it consists of capacity, funds, no longer one having an side over the different. for this reason he's extremely naive. and blatantly liberal. He could extremely communicate an armed crack broker to loss of existence than shot the bastard. Obama is obvious and present day danger to this united states, needs to be voted out of workplace in 2012 or if we are fortunate sufficient to question him in 2011 faster. Barack is a real believer in the hot international ORDER.

He would be better than Hillary, but why limit your choice to 'popularity'?...Why won't you look deeper into the issue and make a plan for the future path of the country...The World does NOT have much respect for us and if this is not remedied, only more attacks on USA lie ahead....

and yes about Anna, she does not think about hard choices for our childrens future and will rely on 'popularity as deciding factor'

snip:
BTW, people like Anna are why this country is going to hell in a handbasket.

get courage and vote Ron Paul.

He has the credibility, the only problem is Clinton still has the momentum, though it is waning a bit.

John c: where's your proof that Obama's a Muslim or that he went to a Muslim school? Seriously that myth is gettin old and overplayed!

He is an excellent orator and presents a fine appearance. He is also quite intelligent, but he lacks experience. He has not completed even one full term in the U.S. Senate. Learning national and international governing is not a good idea for a President. He needs a longer resume in the right areas.

No one has a crystal ball but at least Obama does not have a bagagge to make him an easy target.
The Clinton's have zero ability to unite the country, with Obama there is hope that he is genuinely anti war and because him being black he would have to work twice as hard to succeed which is not a bad thing. The winner would be America as a whole.

They may both be popular, but neither has any honor, stability or credibility to speak of.

Ron Paul has both strong, traditional patriotic values and a steady voting record to back them up.

BTW, people like Anna are why this country is going to hell in a handbasket.
