NO IM NOT A CHILD, i was just curios, my friend is litterally upsessed with penguins and she has the money and time to care for them plus she has the space and correct inviorment, shes 32 and has won the lottery so she deffinetly has the time!

It might be possible to go get an Exotic Pet license from the Fish and Wildlife Service (fws) and buy a "least threatened" penguin, like a little penguin from New Zealand. I'm not too sure if you can take the penguin to the US or if you have to keep it in New Zealand. One thing is for certain though...You CANNOT legally own an Emperor or Adelie Penguin.

I am not sure about your local laws, but these are NOT suitable animals as pets!
If you are attached to a zoo or wildlife park or something like that, you may be able to get some special exemption, but the average person would not be able to provide the special conditions they require to thrive.

If she really wants to raise a penguin why not tell her to go to the zoo and ask if she can work there feeding & caring for the peguins

i love penguin so i would no harm them in any way it is legal to have penguin in america u can have them as long as u have a frigarted room for it to like in and the africa penguins u dont have to have fridarated tempute rooms i hope i helped you

no it isnt legal unless you are a zoo. you could probably find a zoo close to you and might be able to help out if they can take on interns or need someone to clean cages or something.
