Yeah....that happens at my school too and I don't think that it should be stopped because if the teachers yell at us, we'll want to make them even more mad. so yeah. but i think that the teachers are just doing that to prevent anything "bad" from happening.

Alot of schools have a no touching policy. There is nothing much you can do unless you want to move schools, whatever rules the school makes up you must obide, it has nothing to do with what state you live in. Just keep your hand holding to outside the school grounds or make sure there are no teachers around or they may take the punishment further?

Many schools have a rule that says that you can't touch each other or hold hands or hug because it might lead into unwanted contact. There are kids who go and have sex by cutting class in school by going into an empty classroom or in the bathroom and this is why the schools are starting to make rules that says you can't touch each other in schools now a days.

People were acting like that because they know they should have the right to do that, because showing appropriate affection is ok, they just werent exactly going about making their point in the most mature ways.
Try speaking to your guidance teacher, or some teacher at the school who you think you can talk to about this.
It sounds very odd to me.
You didnt do anything wrong, so dont worry.

I don't know. If my school tried that they would have to kick almost every one out of school. But I heard about these two third graders, both girls. One of them was moving to they hugged each other on the last day of school they had togeather. They both got suspended because they weren't allowed to display PDA. So, i think yours is the less rediculous.

Most schools have a strong PDA policy. (Public Display of Affection) That's kind of cool that the rest of your school stood up for you though, but most schools try to keep those kinds of things out of their school.
