3.8 would be pretty slow - maybe 5.5-6.0 ?
My 99 SS 6-speed was about 4.5 & the traction control NEVER worked right - I trashed $600 of F1's (rears) in 10,000 miles.
My 99 Corvette 6-speed was about 4.0 but it was a whole different animal.
