The air filter is pretty good. And it is a lifetime air filter so you just need to clean it instead of constantly replacing it. Not going to add too much for performance alone.

i have a 1995 accord with 382,000 miles. auto transmission. hondas are known for picky transmissions.. i have changed mine every 30K and it is still running. when drained, only about 2.5 qts come out yet it holds about 8 or 9. Follow the severe maint schedule for the transmission and the normal schedule for everything else. also, the oil doesn;t need to be changed every 3k---that is a waste of money. the oil life monitor in you car is a good indicator as it takes into account the driving habits and conditions, but like I said, the auto trans on hondas should be taken care of a little more carefully. also find an import mechanic in your area since dealers are not that much better yet they charge you a lot more. for any other questions email me...i have done all services on my car except timing belts.... also check out website - bob is the oil guy forums----very helpful and informative people over there.

K&N filters are real good, suppose to boost horsepower, maybe 3 to 5. I believe you have to clean the filter with oil. Also expensive.
