Flag Draped Coffins
Written by Semper Fi Reborn

The protestors crowded the square,
Shouting, Babykillers!
Murderers!
You don't fight for us you dogs!
As they spat on us,
They had no remorse.
They let their spittle land on my face.
On the faces of my brothers and sisters.
Right below the eyes.
Eyes that had seen death far too much.
And their spit ran down our faces like crude tears.
As we wondered if we should have just given up,
And died?
Given up and let the enemy of our land take over?
Laid down our weapons and surrendered our rights?
Handed over Old Glory,
To be mocked and burned?
Then we saw the hearses,
Stretched for what seemed like miles.
We remembered the voices,
The faces of our fallen.
And we made a vow.
It said:
I'LL EMPTY THE MAGAZINE OF THIS WEAPON,
BEFORE I ALLOW ANOTHER FLAG DRAPED COFFIN!!

Then I slapped the guy that spit on me.

No, not what we do, but just that we are the true body of Christ simply because we are in the Kingdom of God, but we have an obligation to keep abiding in Christ. Being part of the body of Christ is supposed to mean a perfect oneness with Him. The perfect oneness won't come until we see him after we die, although there are those who have gone into the Holy of Holies and experience a marvelous oneness with the Lord there. Jesus is Lord of all!!!

I thank you Semper Fi for fighting for our country and thank you to all those that are still fighting for our country there are two people that died for us. One is a GI the other is Jesus Christ. I always pray for the soldiers who are away from thier families. You write beautifully. God bless you and thank you for the sober reminder that freedom is free but is NOT cheap.

God bless you and God bless America e4g

you have captured the essence of what we went through, and felt when we came back from Viet Nam.
I just pray that those coming back from this war, do not have to go through the same thing.
it would be a shame of the American people, had not learned anything from the last time.

just remembering, has brought tears to my eyes again.

thank you brother, this is something everyone should hear.
