It's all what we see it to be. If we want to cry, we shall cry. If we want to laugh, we shall laugh. If we think God exists, he does. And vice versa.
We can make anything happen, but we all have to think the same thing to acheive it. Therefore, any goal that is not personal cannot be acheived without people who think alike. You make yourself sad. You make yourself happy. It's all how we see it to be.

No, this does not make any sense.
The world is the world, whether you like it or not. You cannot simply think it out of existence or ignore unpleasant parts of it because you want to.
To see the birth of a child is so joyful it makes you cry.
To bury a child is heartbreakingly sad.
Why would you try to make it something else? Are you trying to fly from what is real?
Trying to determine the real is often difficult, but just to settle on what we will as the way it should be is not a good path.
