Before I am criticized for posting this question I would like to start of by saying that each of us no matter how small - have a tendency to be disturbed when seeing certain interracial couples. I know that most of us do not want to think that way and most of us normally would not comment on it but I wanted to post this question to those who would like to come out of the closet to make a statement. It is not in anyway racist but I'm looking for an honest and respectable answer. Again, I know that we try to stay away from these thoughts but sometimes its in our nature. So again, let's just be honest.
As for me I am mostly disturbed by a person of one race, any race, that exclusively chooses not to date within their race. I have always been proud of who i am (I'm latino) and can't understand why someone would make that type of decision - obviously lets just say if they haven't had any know traumatic experiences within their race. Again, I try not to think that way, but I can't help it

Maybe if we all dated and mated interracial, the colors and races would all fade into a nice tan for everyone. Maybe we have had enough of races as humans and need to mix it up a bit more. Pride is great, but if you don't swallow it every now and then, you will surely choke on it.

Hey Leon,
Good question. And, do you know what? I don't even know. Personally, I think all women: black, brown, yellow, white, etc. look good. I don't know why somebody would want to exclusively date outside of their race anymore than I don't understand why somebody would only want to date INSIDE of their race.
Oh, but maybe I actually do. I think it has to do with some kind of race phobia (or reverse race phobia). I haven't traveled the world as much as I would have liked, but I can say everywhere I've traveled I met people that I liked -- and that especially includes the women!
So, if any of your white, black, Latino, Asian, Indian, Arab, Martian, (did I miss anyone?) women are having trouble finding a date inside your race, let's hook up and freak everyone out!
I wish we'd all do a better job of getting along with each other.

I think I have finally matured to the point that I have no problem with others involved in inter-racial relationships. I am not so sure i ever felt anything ANTI-racial, but I definitely have my preferences. My Fav is Latinos (I'm white), but have dated on Indonesia dude (very good looking, but we just didn't hit it off that great) and a couple black dudes too. dated lots of white guys in there too. What do I find most attractive? Well, i have met 3 guys who were Latino / Native American - Two Cherokee, and one Sioux - Probably the hottest looking guys I have ever met.
Does that make me racists?? I hope not. I admit it DOES probably make me shallow as he!! though. Oh well, we all have our likes and dislikes.

There are no 'races' within humanity. Only Klines.
Some people might argue ethnicity. But bottom line is every living human is the same race so don't categorize people that way. You might be a 'latino' in the states, but in Brazil you'd probably be seen as a shade of 'white' (though not necessarily) and seen as something completely diffent in South-east Asia.
So obviously it never bothers me. We're all Homo sapiens sapiens after all.

Well i dont know about being disturbed about any relationship and i think you're wrong when you say each of us does get disturbed.
However i see your point about people choosing not to date within their race although i dont see why it should "disturb" you.
I agree but wouldnt say its disturbing, just pointless and narrowminded, and also its the same with people who only date within their race/religion. People should be more open minded when it comes to finding a soulmate.

I think most people dont feel like that especially gay people. We have been discriminated against enough. I really think its about time people opened up their brains and try and use the other 90% . You would think by now people would just stop all their prejudices. There are enought things more important in this world to worry about than that. Move and and get a hobby like saving the world from Global warming or something.

Its just a case where it is really not worth getting your undies in a bunch over it. Its going to happen no matter what is said about it.
I am a white male and I have dated outside my race with Blacks and Latinos. Martin Luther King said it best by saying dont judge a man by the color of his skin but by the content of his character. It still makes sense

Excuse me, don't tell me what I think thank you very much. I have no problem with interracial couples at all. Makes the world more beautiful, painted with different colours and to create a masterpiece, sometimes you need to mix colours to get the best effect. Enough said!

I don't get disturbed by any interracial relationships. What you are talking about is intra-racial discrimination by certain members of a race who consider the other race superior or better qualified for dating.

I have never been disturbed by it. I'm in one right now, I'm white, he's Asian. I just wouldn't be able to tell myself, "You can't fall in love with him because he isn't your race"('race' is bullsh*t anyway, the only real 'race' is the 'human race'). I just let myself fall in love, with whoever I want, and it is a liberating feeling. I don't feel like I am 'betraying my race' or anything like that. I love learning about his culture, and think it is cute when he is confused by mine. I believe love is colorblind.
