Do you have any ideas for a good short story?

I have to write a story for Creative Writing, and I have no idea what to write about.
Usually, I can come up with some pretty good ideas, but under this kind of pressure, I'm completely stumped.

I'm a decent writer I suppose, and once I have a topic, I should be able to elaborate on it okay.

The story can be about anything and there's no minimum amount of required words/pages.

I have an IDea :
A girl (8yrs)runs away from her parents over a small fight(childish)
She wanders through the city and sees real life - Goes to a workhouse, sees kids working as a cobbler and despited their small age have amazing maturity.
The girl runs back to her house and hugs her parents without telling them anything

Write a Love Story about a Lady, being abused for her entire life. Suddenly, she meets someone who tries to free her from the harms of this life. She isn't as willing to change her life. But her fears are so strong. She tries to convince him to walk away. He stays with her. And they end up together. And very happily in Love!! - The End-
