My high school is wanting me to request certain language courses for my freshman year and I want to major in medicine when I am in college. I am right now in my second year of classical Latin and in my first year of Greek. Do I need to take Latin and Greek next year if I want to persue a career in Medicine?? Thanks

Not for the career, but many colleges may require an extra year of language for admissions, so it depends upon where you want to go to school.

Pursuing a med career is no easy task, since getting into a college for med can be very hard. Especially is it's a 7yr med program. These colleges will be looking at ALL of the courses you take, not just the med-related ones. I suggest taking another yr of Latin, since colleges won't count languages that you've taken for less than 2 yrs (Greek).

Unless, you plan on replacing your Latin course with a more advanced course, maybe an AP course.
