Generally alligators are two small to eat a full grown cow. But alligators are opportunistic when it comes to food if it's the right size it dies. They will also scavenge on carrion. Crocks on the other hand do get large enough for cow to be on the menu

I have seen Crocks eat small Water Buffalo on Animal Planet type shows. I suppose that a large, and hungry enough gator would go after a full grown cow. More likely though is that the gator will bite a chunk out of the cow and be happy!
