"To say that CD players are lame just means that you don't understand how these technologies work and if any of the devices are to be called lame it would be the over-rated and over-priced iPod and iPhone lines."
CD players are still lame, dude. =)
I have to say, I prefer my iPod to my CD player. I hate that to get ONE good song, you have to buy fifteen or twenty songs as well.
Also, iPods are considered cool, and it's cool to have one. CD players? Not so much.
So, Mr. CD-Players-Aren't-Lame, YOU can stick to the CD player and WE'LL stick with the iPods. Mmkay? =)

Absolutely NOT! MP3 and other formats that most players use when they compress the songs actually remove a part of them. This is usually stuff that the average person won't notice but that the true audiophile will. CDs and therefore CD players do not do this and so you get a better sound if you know what you're listening for. To say that CD players are lame just means that you don't understand how these technologies work and if any of the devices are to be called lame it would be the over-rated and over-priced iPod and iPhone lines.
