Since the thirteenth Century, these traders carried not only goods on their ships, but they also carried the religion of Islam to the islands of southeast Asia. From a historical viewpoint, Southeast Asia was the center of trade. It's region was where the Chinese and Europeans would trade. The trade ports would be located along the coast of the Malayan peninsula, east Sumatra, and north Java.These would be known as the center of trade in the Thirteenth Century.
