There are people who believe one (or some) can and they are not insane. There is the American Association of Paranormal Research which you might like to look up. Type "paranormal research/telepathy" into Yahoo! web searc and a number of informative links comes up. Wikipedia has good summary's on both telepathy and the paranormal.

As for the schizophrenic who think they have had their minds read or can read others minds I have to say this: the cause of schizophrenia is not known by science nor is the source or cause of hallucinations. The amount of misinformation about these disorders in the general populace is abysmal.

Good luck with your attempts at telepathy, good mental health, peace and Love!

NO people can not read minds....we can make educated (or uneducated guesses) but we can not read minds.
Keep in mind that there are people who will say "you read my mind" but this is not really what happens. Coincidence is most likely the reason someone knows you want to go have an ice cream or go to that cool concert. If you want to test this theory, go up to a complete stranger and ask him or her what you are thinking......have fun.

Yes, they can. First you develop psychosis or schizophrenia. The cost is really high, though, and accuracy is usually around zero.
