It just got old. Sometimes its better to quit while you're ahead.
Seriously...it was cancelled for the same reason any other show is....ratings.

it was the creator Mike Judge. He wanted to concentrate on "King of the Hill".
I would like to see Beavis and Butt-Head on "South Park" or "Drawn Together" my two favorite cartoons.
I miss that show (maybe there should be a return seeing as things really haven't changed much between now and the '90s IMO)

Because even Mike Judge (the creator) noticed that the show was getting stale after the second season. It was popular and revolutionary at the time it came out, but lacked the capacity to stay that way.

Mike Judge signed with Fox and made King of the Hill. Probably for a lot more $$$ than MTV was paying him.
You can still catch re-runs from time to time ;)

I don't think that they wanted to corrupt another generation lol. I mean look at the current generation that just got out of hs and college. I know we aren't all that sane.

That show rocks! It still comes on sometimes. Finding them depends on what channels you have. You can have hundreds of channels and still not find them on any. I even got TIVO and can't find them.

Because the writers realized how stupid their show was...
haha, I think because they just ran out of material.
