We have joint custody, but my son lives with him for now. My ex is refusing to give me the address that they are living at. Isn't it my legal right to know where my sons residence is when we have joint custody and joint guardianship?

Yes, if you have joint custody, you have the right to know where your child is at all times. If your ex will not divulge this information, go to the courts.
