how do I cut a cardboard mail tube?

we are trying to make a dna model and need to cut a strong cardboard tall mail tube. What should I use?

Try a handsaw. My husband used to make cat furniture and cut the tubing with a good handsaw. If you're looking for something to use once you might be able to find one at the dollar store. Make sure the blade looks fairly strong.
