I get the error "The core system file (kernel) used to start this computer is not a microsoft windows file.the service pack will not be installed.for more info see knowledge base article Q327101 at http://support.microsoft.com

How do i fix this crap error

Chances are that SP3 isn't for XP, XP is still on service pack 2, there IS a unoffical service pack 3 on www.majorgeeks.com, but it is no way required by any program. So I have no clue what your trying to do their. There is also a SP3 for widows 2000 which could be why your getting that error. Windows 2000 had a kernel32 or something that was used by the operating system, they've gone a way from that with XP, so I think your just putting the wrong sp on the wrong operating system..... again, as far as even micro soft goes, there is no service pack 3 for XP, as of today atleast, lol, darn microsoft....

i ought to say SP3 is fairly important 'reason multiple the hot application doesn't run on something older than SP3 (some no longer even on XP). it must be extra positive to easily improve to living house windows 7( assuming you've an invaluable sufficient computing gadget ), XP is slowly getting out of date.
