Yes. The Tunkashila that taught them the dance also gave them specific prayer songs to go with it.

Interesting question, those that may know the answer however, it is my guess that it may not be something they discuss so openly.
P.S. The Lakota, Dakota (and Nakota) are not tribes, they are *dialects* that cover more then one tribe... i.e. the Lakota have several tribes.

the sioux are not a tribe. they are a nation made up of tribes, such as the lakota, dakota, and more tribes. have you ever heard the term, lakota sioux? its lakota tribe sioux nation.
