my hsband is a farmer and we have 200 head of catlte, so he gets up early and feeds........... I hold off the kids till Daddy gets back inside.
We do some things that morning that have become traditions that things I have the kids do while waiting for Dad.
We make Easy mini cinnamon rolls. You need a couple cans of cresecent rolls, spreadable butter/margarine, sugar and cinnamon. Unroll crescents into rectangles (pinch together the diagonal cuts) spread them with butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, roll up and slice (should get 5 slices per section. Bake in the oven at 375 for 15 minutes-ish....... Great fun treat that we don't have every morning and something that all ages can take part in and chances are will keep them busy up to an hour, by the time they prep, bake and eat.

I am usually the first one up in my house. Should I wake up my kids or just lounge until they are awake? I love Christmas

well since I don't work....I'll probably roll out of bed around the same time I usually do on a weekend.....whenever I feel like it.
We open gifts on Christmas Eve.....so there really isn't anything to rush to...
