There are plenty of illegals with drivers license in my state. There was a big thing on the news about it a few years ago. The ones that gave them the licenses have been fired. I don't think they should have a drivers license unless they are legal. That is what we use at times as I.D. I work with the public and some of them are using a state ID as a drivers license. I told one man that did not give him the right to drive here it was just an ID. After I said that....he could no longer understand or speak English...go figure...sick of it all....

First of all, you're wrong to allege that it's Hillary Clinton's plan. She was asked if she supported the plan of the governor of New York State to provide drivers license to illegal immigrants in the State of New York. If that plan is put into effect, it will encourage illegal immigrants to migrate to New York, not necessarily the US as a whole.

First of all it wasn't Hillary 'plan'.
Secondly, at least if the governor of New York plan is passed it would allow for illegal immigrants to be accounted for and the states would know how many and where these people are. The federal government is not doing anything so why not let the states offer solutions.

She has no such plan. The State governor of New York is proposing driver's licenses for illegals in New York. Hillary was asked if she supported that proposal, and she said she understands why the Governor is trying to do it, but didn't claim to support it. Hillary doesn't vote on state laws, so it was no surprise that she had no strong position on it.

Most of us oppose granting driver's licenses to illegals because they can use it as I.D. The New York state plan would no longer allow driver's licenses to be used as legal I.D. An I.D. card is being proposed for U.S. citizens. A driver's license, which can't be used as I.D., would assure that illegals know how to drive and also qualify them for liability insurance. Insurance companies won't issue a policy to somebody without a license, so right now millions of illegals are driving without insurance.

I think she will have to modify her stance on this issue, as she moves forward in the general election.

But I think her point was that they need a method of finding out who is in the country, and also there are so many unlicensed drivers in New York, which drives up the insurance costs for other drivers.

Yes it would, plus it would bring in a new class of poor to appeal to for votes even though they would not be citizens they would be able to vote since all you need is the drivers license.

Yes, but more importantly it is an admission of defeat in the battle for border security. I understand the logic of having these people insured, but it would be even safer to deport them now wouldn't it! I am a liberal, but this is pure insanity.

Do you understand that calling it "Hillary Clinton's plan" is a flat out lie?

Yep, you bet. They pay their life savings to coyotes and endanger their lives sneaking through the desert so they can come to America and...get a drivers license.
