we are getting married next year and have a appointment at the registry office at the end of this month i just need to know weather i need to take a full birth certificate or would a short version acceptable. i dont have a passport and we are in the uk

you need to get a full birth certificate from the town you were born in, they only cost £7. You dont need a passport

you have to be able to prove that you are who you say you are. b.c. and drivers liscense are usually necessary. sometimes they may ask for a proof of address as well. call your county to be sure
