Rice said. If Musharraf "carries through on his obligations that he's made to us and that he's made to his own people," the road to democracy "will be re-established."

Rice on Musharraff election promises...

I am trying to find your source but get your intent. My thoughts here are the call for Musharraff to have the chance to prove himself has been made. He is being watched carefully. The US can not go in there an remove him. So we wait. Last time he got away with it. No longer shall the US accept that. Nor the path of least resistance toward the Taliban to protect his armies. 10 billion since 9-11 he has alot of explaining and work to do.

Yes, elections, the only way. Just keep in mind the US is involved. Then also how do you feel about Bhutto? Her husband and ties to good/bad Saudi's? Is she the solution? Could be worse. What I heard this morning from Secretary Rice was these are delicate negotiations. As for you and me we watch as each day events unfold. Thank you.

Should Saudi, Russia, China, ...... have elections? Would they be fake, this is all a smoke game and one thing we do not need now. How about some real people stepping up. Rice went to Syria, how about one there?

doesn't really matter, fatten up the red heifer!

well why not?

musharaff is speaking their language and warming their little totalitarian hearts.

musharaff 'says' that this is all about extremist, but oddly the thousands that have been arrested all just happen to be his political opposition.

we went into iraq to depose a dictator and restore democracy - but in pakistan (a nation that, by the way DOES have WMD's) a dictator has taken over and they don't lift a finger to stop him.

why in the world can't we call liars, liars?

When Saddam staged an election that had a 99.9% voter turnout, did you call it a "fake" election?
