It really depends on whether they are the kind of parents who think it is important you visit them or not.

well they r ur parents. U mustn't visit them all the time, if u don't have enough time. Just ask them to visit ya and stay at ur place. Same thing

that would depend on how old they are.
young, probably not, they have each other to be happy with.
middle- not so much they are busy with their lives anyway.
elderly - yeah, since you don't know how much longer they have to live.
But there again, no one knows when it's coming. young middle and elderly are at that risk every day. So you decide if you want to take that chance.
