As long as that child grows up in a loving home it shouldn't matter. There are so many abused and neglected children living in "conventional" homes. LOVE... that's all that matters!

You can thumbs me down all you want... I see more kids having problems because of abuse, neglect, drugs and other factors. There is no proof that ANY child grows up having a problem just because his parents are gay or lesbian.

What are we supposed to think? Both people are human.

What would you think if the child was orphaned and two Aunts raised him.....or two Uncles? Same difference as far as I am concerned.

Why not?
There are many, many traditional couples, and single parents who should NEVER have been allowed to have or raise kids.
Same sex coupkes jump through hoops to PROVE they are fit and decent parents, and lay their lives bare to social services etc...what a SHAME the same can't be said for, IMO, the majority of society.

So long as they are loving and care responsibly for the child/children then why not ? married straight couples do not have the monolopy on love and caring behaviour and are capable on messing up big time as are gay people, we are all the same.

I don't think anything of it... they have a child. Great. Most of my wife's and my friends are lesbians, so I'm pretty comfortable in saying that homosexuals are capable of raising a normal (straight or gay) child. There isn't a single valid argument against it.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest however what does bother me is other peoples negativity.

My only concern would be how the child would be seen at school and if that child would be subject to bullying.

I think if handled well children can thrive...

I think that that's perfectly fine as long as they both love the child. I would just worry about how the child would take the bullying at school because kids are like that. Other than that, I see no problem.

actually, I don't think anything about it.
If two people are deeply committed to eachother,
be it a traditional couple,
or gay couple--then why shouldn't they be allowed to adopt some poor child who would only live a miserable life in an institution.
Anyone who can provide love and stability to a child should be allowed to adopt.

I have no issues with it. Doens't it boil down to the child being loved by her/his parents? I think it is a bit ridiculous that strangers even care what other people do in this aspect.
