Obviously, letting people run for office isn't working out. Maybe we should start a popular elect kind of deal where the candidate doesn't have any choice in the matter. That's how George Washington was elected. What do you think?

This is the reason for the political conventions. The party leaders are there to choose the candidate who will run.
I'd love to see the Reps draft someone who has been successful in business and have no political background.
Warren Buffet or Bill Gates??

I think you could get a better President if you went to any zoo, and grabbed a random monkey from one of the pits and gave it a pen and a desk..

A draft would ultimately mean voting and why have someone president that wouldn't want to be. The persons heart wouldn't be in it therefore would do a awful job. Especially nowadays
