This is really silly but yes....He got away 30 years ago and I do still think of him sometimes, especially when things aren't going too well. I always wonder what he would say if he saw me now, and if he is still as hot as he was back then, Oh great now you've got me thinkin about him again, I think I'll go play our song.....now where did I put my 8 track tape collection?

Yes but when I married I wrote a poem to say goodbye and tucked it away. I still think of him from time to time but not in a longing sort of way. Here's the poem:
Just when I thought I was over you. Just when I thought there were no more tears.
One of our songs came on the radio & it began to roll back the years.
All those sunny days of laughter & of gently being held.
Of all those fears & tears we shed & other emotions we felt.
I wonder now how have you been. Has life been good? Are you well?
If only I could see you again there are so many things I could tell.
I've gone through so much since having known you
Though we had our share of problems there's nothing that I rue.
So in closing I'll say a prayer and shed a few more tears
For a life that was much richer because you were there.
Whenever I think of you I'll think of you kindly and as the tears glisten my eyes I'll gently smile
For my memories bring us closer though separated by years & miles.

Yes, and we all do if that person really meant something to us. The hardest part is not, keeping them so high on a pedestal, that no other person that may come into your life stands even half of a chance.
This is the hard part, trust me I know, it took me over 12 years to do so. No one will ever compare to the one you have truly loved, but in time, you will be able to love them differently and you may surprise your self and notice that the one that got away, really wasn't all that to begin with. Your memories, like to play tricks on you, by high lighting the good and under playing the bad.
Just something to think about.

Yup, I still think of the 'one that got away'. Not always but sometimes..... We share a lots of memories and I should be thankful of that. It's not his fault neither me but things just turns out to be like that and.. I think I shouldn't hate him because hating someone will make me even hurt. Even though those memories seems to be very HURT now but I'm happy pieces of my memories had been filled with him, once.

Yes, often, especially when I am having man troubles. Then I hear 'our song' a lot more and think of the guy even more.
