I'm thinking of studying electrical engineering. I have a 3.51 GPA, and SAT score of 2010. I'm in the science honor society, national honor society, and math honor society, and vice president of national honor society. I'm in the charity club, debate team, and ecology club. I've taken dance classes for 10 years, danced on stage MANY times, and singing lessons for 4 years and won first place when singing on stage. I was also a finalist for a vocab competition three times, and went to nationals once. I was also in this biology program where we've won national competitions. I was an intern at lockheed martin.
i've volunteered at a hospital, museum, and taught kids--and i have 300 community service hours. my short story was published once, as well as a scientific paper I've written.

what do you think? thanks.
My first choice is actually UVA.

Cornell is possible -- but unlikely.

Virginia is more likely if you are a Virginia resident -- and possible, but unlikely, if you are not.

GW and Maryland are likely -- but not a sure thing. Maryland is very likely if you are a resident.

VT is the most likely of these schools -- and is even more likely if you are a resident.

As good as Virginia is -- go to Cornell if you get in. It should be your first choice.

Cornell--Probably not.
UVA--A reach
U Maryland--A safety
Virginia Tech--Not sure, I think probably a target
GW--Target
My best adice is PLAY UP YOUR TALENTS! Especially in dance and the biology program. These days, colleges look for people who are "angular" instead of well-rounded--who have something they are very good at and very passionate about.

I would actually put Cornell ahead of UVA, but it's your decision. You should be able to go into any of those schools, but I'm not to sure about Cornell, because it's an IVY League school. Good luck.
