No - not getting the chance to say goodbye, knowing how different things could have been, was the hardest thing.

You have no idea. I said goodbye outside the hospital. It hurt. We both cried, and then he got in his car and I got in mine. I didn't look back, because I was afraid I would break down and start bawling. And that's not a good thing to do when you are driving. I've never hurt so much as I did at that moment.

Yes, leaving your home and everyone there is hard to go off on an adventure on the other side of the world is a little hard. What is even harder is knowing that it is going to be a long time until you return.

it was one of the hardest things, it felt like a little part of me was gone, like my heart was hurting. i cried constantly for like 3 days, and i wanna cry when i think about what happened! ive only said goodbye a handful of times, and they all hurt like hell

It was the hardest thing on my Mothers Funeral in April this Year.That was the hardest thing i have ever done.Believe me.
