In the light of Duane "The Dog" Chapman's verbal snafu, everybody in the entertainment business dropped him like a hot potato.

His remark was in private to a family member (to his son who was dating an African-American woman). For some reason, it got out in public and now he has to go make his apology rounds.

Here's my question; should Duane Chapman have to make a TV appearance for something he said in the privacy of his own home?

Now, I'm no racist and what the guy said was offensive, however, why bring what he says in private out in the open and criticize him for it? I'm sure he feels bad about saying it now. The media should just leave him alone.

I feel pretty safe since I'm not a celebrity and the only living soul that hears me at home is my Dalmatian Spreedog - - - and she never repeats a word.
Be very careful what you write on the internet though. I never write anything that I would NOT want the entire world hear.
I realize the "whole world" doesn't care about my thoughts, but once on the internet they are out there and could come back to bite #*@^&.
If I were a celebrity,
I would be careful what I said ANYWHERE!

Who ever says that you can say anything in the privacy of your own home isn't married.
What we say has an affect not only on our children but also our children. We can make our children racists.
If you have a little pharisee sitting beside you? chances are your a big pharisee. in other words a hypocrite.
Isn't it funny how Jesus changed things. They worshiped Pharisee's as spiritual leaders and would have nothing to do with Samaritans. Today a Pharisee is synonymous with hypocrite and a Samaritan with a good person.

well when u in the spot light u gotta watch what u say...especially if its over the phone.
I don't think his show should be cancelled but he should make an apology for it getting out to the public...I do the believe the man is a racist. your real character is what u do behind close doors...not when everyone is watching.

what really brought the private conversation to the public was that his son recorded it and put it out to the public. i think it was horrible what his son did but as a famous person how can u be so racist? i mean i happen to be a big fan of Dog and what he does. and i was offended by what he said. but it was still messed up what his son did to him.

obviously if you are a celebrity or politically inclined, you have to be very censured when it comes to speaking where it could be taken out of context
