Depends i guess on how obvious you want them to be! Clear really wouldn't be much of a statement. A french manicure look would be pretty bold. A nice pastel pink, or there is always the classic red. Deep purple, dark blue or black??? So many choices, maybe give us a clue what kind of look you want.
