have an average job offer in NYC, does the lesbian scene make it worth it?

considering the living expenses the offer is not really that attractive, but I'm tempted to move out of crappy Ohio.

Major cities always tend to have a larger and more diverse population. That's a given.

If you really don't like where you are move. If the opportunity is there...take it.

You say "average" offer. Is it as good as what you have? Given the cost of living, would you be making as much? How do the benefits compare - does either company of benefits to sam sex partners (may be important to you someday)? Depending on what you do, moving to an equal or lesser job can be viewed negatively on a resume in future moves. If the opportunity will be equall when all things financial are considered, then why not move to where you think you would be happier?

Many young gay people flock to the major cities. I'll give you some advise though. Make sure that you understand the conditions of your new situation. Will you be comfortable? Feel safe? Will you enjoy your work or hate it? There are a lot of factors that contribute to your general wellness, not just exposure to a broader array of lesbians.

if I were you , Id jump at the chance to go to NY . you can always go back to Ohio . Youll be like a kid in a candy store w the thousands of lesbians in NY .
