Right now, my specs are
Dual AMD Core 4600+
1 GB Ram (2 DDR PC2-5200 512 mb) i have 2 slots left that can hold 1 GB each
nVidia 7500 LE 256 MB DDR memory even though it says Aprrox 512 mb?

i'm pretty sure on buying two sticks of 1 GB ram and just popping them in, but i need to know what kind will work with my computer.

and i want to get a top of the line graphics card, but i'm not sure how high i should go so my processor can still work it nicely.

i don't want a 1,000 graphics card that i can't take full power of.
another thing is, i don't know if my card is onboard, or if it isn't if it is PCI or PCIexpress, and how many slots i have open.

also, would it be easier just to get a brand new computer with all the stuff in it, plus a quad core processor?

if you can't understand this, please aim me at wearentalive or email me.

Thanks abunch guys

here are my specs from HP http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?docname=c00711192&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jum

I don't think games take THAT much power. Just swap out your memory and you should notice a big improvement. If your computer is like mine, you'll have to remove the memory you have and put in 2 GB or 4 GB (the manual for my computer said the modules had to be the same size, so I couldn't use the 512 MB modules I had before). I know several people who are big into games and none of them really has a machine like yours or mine. OK, maybe one does. But he just got it. Really, I think it's fine. Try the games you want to play BEFORE you decide what to upgrade. Good luck!

Your processor is fine. Upgrade your graphics card first - something like an Nvidia 8800 is fine. Then look to get the extra RAM so you're running at least 2 GB.

You've already stated the memory type you use - DDR PC-5200.

And yes, it is certainly easier to just get a brand new computer made by someone else! If you've got the money then go for it.

properly the RAM improve won't in all likelihood impact to journey better gaming.. cuz if u already have 4 GB RAM of DDR3 variety then they are sufficient the processor is fairly stable for gaming and Radeon HD 5770 is plenty better than the only u already have, yet why dont u pass with NVIDIA, they are better than ATI try NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800 GX2 besides the processor consequences velocity of ur workstation, yet while u prefer to alter it, then throw ur workstation case and purchase a sparkling one, with super processor like Intel middle i7 !!! and placed the hot photos card in !!
