If we starve, then our body will store food.
Our bodies are not going to adapt with having a constant rate of food, there is simply no reason for this.
In evolution, if we don't need a gene it isnt going to go away, unless it is destructive.
since this one is clearly beneficial it isn't ever going to go away, it may have some mutations but i don't think it will go away.
If being fat had actually made you less attractive in terms of evolution and not pop-culture it still wouldn't matter because humans can choose to run, bike and do other things to lose weight.
Interesting question however. I have not fasted for a deity lol but i have starved myself while working in my laboratory or in a long car ride :)

I have fasted before but not intentionally. I only eat when I'm hungry. There are some days when I eat nothing. Then there are days when I eat excessively. I've always been like that. I rarely snack. I guess I am an extremist as far as food is concerned. For me, it really is feast or famine....lol

particular I fairly have fasted. oftentimes I rapid for twenty-four hours. My fasts selection, each from time to time I do a entire rapid with in basic terms beverages to drink, different circumstances I do a rapid the place i'm abstaining from something. those are very non secular circumstances. I fairly have heard of people and church homes that rapid for 40 days with an wonderful non secular blessing poured out. i prefer to do a rapid for 40 days, yet have not yet reached the factor the place bodily i'm waiting to realize this - my actual wellness isn't the ideal precise now. We do get super advantages bodily from a supervised rapid, too, yet looking somebody to supervise a rapid this is medically qualified is probably no longer uncomplicated.

I do the Catholic fast during Lent - instead of three meals a day, you limit yourself to eating one regular meal per day, plus two light snacks in place of your other two meals, and then nothing else in between.
It's a trial, but it's not that bad after a day or two. You get used to it.
Extraordinary eating habits - constant feeding or constant no-food fasting - may not be that good for you in the long run. I'm thinking they could wreak havoc with your blood sugar levels, if for no other reason.

Fasting helps focus one's energies on the resources available in our great God. I fast at times of confusion or when I am not able to determine which direction I should be going.

It's all in the genes, thank god I've been blessed with good ones, I'm 65 and am the same weight as when I was 25, it's not all in the same place as it was though!

i kept away from food in a horrible way. nothing but one or max. 2 slices of puffed rice and water/day for 5 days. and then i got really really sick, if you ask me, i'm not sure i could try even a more balanced fasting for more than one day.
then again, i used to fast for religious reasons. my family is eastern orthodox, and i used to keep away from animal protein in the requested periods of time.
